Busking yesterday cancelled the following services with VOSA:

  • 136 Driffield-North Frodingham-Bridlington, Monday to Saturday, cancelled with effect from 2nd September
  • 431 Middleton-Driffield Schools Service, cancelled with effect from 2nd September
  • 506/508 Sunday Bridlington Town Service, cancelled with effect from 13th September, Probably going back to EYMS
But also registered some others:
  • 270 Driffield-Beeford, Monday to Friday with effect from 9th September, currently operated by EYMS with one evening peak journey, but EYMS have cancelled the service with effect from 2nd September
  • 502 Bridlington-Buckton, Daily with effect from 9th September, currently operated by TD Travel

NB - From now on I will use the Busking label, not the Phoenix Buses Label

Interesting that all the Busking services are ex East Yorkshire Motor Services.
The takeover of the 502 Bridlington - Buckton service from T.D. Travel poses one question, will Busking buy back the vehicle they sold to T.D. to operate the service?.

EYMS have registered the 431 as well as the 429 which Busking were also operating.

Looking at a earlier VOSA application it seems a safe bet that the 506/508 service will revert back to EYMS.
I wonder if EYMS will also take back the Saturday 126 service to Langtoft, and which depot would operate it.
As the service finishes at lunchtime and at the end of the day at Langtoft it could well be worked from Driffield.

According to Notices and Proceedings published today, the change to 136 is only a variation, rather than cancellation.

Looks like my mistake on the 136 - just been back and checked the VOSA search engine from last week and it does indeed see variation for the 136

Thanks for pointing it out
