Beverley gained an extra tendered town service on Tuesday 2nd April - new route 528, operated by Stagecoach under contract to East Riding of Yorkshire Council. The service operates Monday to Saturday off-peak.
The 528 operates from Beverley Bus Station via Flemingate to Beverley Parklands hourly, an area last served in September 2021 with Acklams service 6 that provided three journeys into Beverley Town Centre, and two back.
From Beverley Parklands journeys either retrace their steps back to the Bus Station, or every two hours operate via Beverley Southern Bypass, Morrisons and Normandy Avenue back to the Bus Station. The 528 has been timed to co-ordinate with two hourly East Yorkshire operated town service 527 between Morrisons and Beverley Bus Station, thus giving Normandy Avenue an hourly off-peak service for the first time since April 2023 and the withdrawal of Beverley Locals B1/B2.
