PB0001484/271 - LINCOLNSHIRE ROAD CAR CO LTD, PO BOX
15, DEACON ROAD, LINCOLN, LN2 4JB
Cancellation Accepted: Operating between Riby Square and Europarc given
service number 20/1/2 effective from 01-Jan-2014.
The 1 links Wybers Wood, Europarc Industrial Estate, Gilbey Road, Lord Street with Grimsby Town Centre, while the 2 links Europarc Industrial Estate, Gilbey Road and Corporation Road with Grimsby Town Centre before continuing to serve Victor Street and Riby Square. Both services operate hourly on weekday daytimes. Meanwhile the 20 provides a limited weekday early morning and evening service between Wybers Wood, Europarc, Corporation Road, Grimsby Town Centre and Cleethorpes, mainly to serve shift changeovers at Europarc.
The 1, 2 and 20 are part funded by the European Regional Development Fund and North East Lincolnshire Council to serve the Europarc Industrial Estate, but also provide the only bus services to the Gilbey Road, Lord Street, Corporation Road and Victor Street areas.
As ever, there is always a chance that Stagecoach or another operator could re-register the services.

Are Stagecoach leaving Grimsby as a operator search on VOSA returns with this:
"PB0000163 SI (1993)
Operating centre town: GRIMSBY
North East of England,
N&P, 29 Nov 2013:
Licence Surrendered
Licence surrendered WEF
25 November 2013 GRIMSBY CLEETHORPES TRANSPORT CO LTD T/A STAGECOACH GRIMSBY CLEETHORPES Director(s): LESLIE WARNEFORD, COLIN BROWN. PO BOX 15, DEACON ROAD , LINCOLN LN2 4JB Registered Bus Services running under this licence have also been surrendered with immediate effect."
To me this looks like they are pulling out of the town completely.
I suspect that is unconnected. A while ago all the route registrations where transferred from the Grimsby Cleethorpes (and Cleveland Transit) license to the Lincolnshire Road Car license. I guess what you have found completes the 'paperwork' exercise by handing back the Grimsby Cleethorpes license
The bus station closure map in Grimsby for the 6th of January shows info on where to get the 1 & 2, but, doesn't mention the 20. Does this mean that they cancelled them all because they wanted to remove the 20? And how am I going to get to work in Europarc from Park St at night and back home in the morning?
The Stagecoach information lists service 20 towards Europarc as serving stop E on East Street. No mention of service 20 towards Cleethorpes however
Sorry I can't find the bus station blog, so I post here, after the bus station is finished they will be 4 shelters near the barge, 4 on Townhall street and 2 on Greoge street. How are the elderly and disabled ment to change buses at this so-called bus station. PS. I have detailed plans of the new layout if you want it sending.
Whether this is related or not, but on the Traveline East Midlands website, all journeys on timetables for Routes 1, 2 and 20 have the footnote "to 28.3.14", which suggest beyond 28th March there will no longer be any services. I could be wrong though?
