The latest edition of Rail magazine reports plans by Northern Rail to stop all Hull to York trains at Howden from December 2009. Howden has become an increasingly popular station, and is also served by First Hull Trains London services, plus peak time Transpennine Express services to Leeds.
Northern also propose starting the enhanced Summer Sunday Hull to York timetable at Easter in 2010, rather than the usual May start.
