Due to "low" usage, East Riding of Yorkshire Council removed funding for some Bus Service Improvement Plan funded services at the end of May 2026. This included service 594 which provided a Tuesday market day link from Fridaythorpe to Pocklington via Millington, with one journey in each direction. The 594 was introduced on 3rd December 2024, operated by York Pullman, before passing to East Yorkshire Buses from 2nd September 2025. The final day of operation was 26th May 2026. Fridaythorpe, Millington and Pocklington remain linked on Summer weekends via seasonal service 200.

Fridaythorpe Parish Council has shared passenger figures which show just 84 passenger journeys in the 2025/26 year for this route which no doubt explains why it was axed.
