With effect from Sunday 4th July, Stagecoach are reducing the Sunday daytime frequency of Scunthorpe's only Sunday Town Service, circular route 1A. The 1A will reduce from half hourly to hourly in each direction. One small positive however, is that the first clockwise service will depart Scunthorpe Bus Station at 0830 rather than 0900.
Times of other journeys on services 1 and 1A are also slightly revised from the same date.

I was concerned that the night time journeys would be scrapped or drastically reduced (ie last bus at 8 or 9 in the evening), wouldn't be surprised if that's the case either later this year or some time next year.
Hardly a surprise. Many areas of Scunthorpe have a better service on a Sunday than during the week.
Was hoping that the daytime 1 would be increased back to Every 20 as part of these changes, but disappointing to see it remains half-hourly. Hopefully "post covid" the former frequency will be reinstated?
Shocking from Stagey in an already below-par service for the town.
One driver told me it's down to the fact that the 1a's are subsidised by North Lincolnshire Council and they won't fund an half hourly Sunday service any longer.
Greedy council!
