The following appeared on the VOSA website today, including the cancellation of the service 53 registration between Hull City Centre, Garden Village, Ings Road and Salthouse Road. To simplify....
Hull City Council have provided notice on the Lambwath Road contract. Due to the rate of demolition on Ings Road Estate and the growth in popularity of the Service 10 on Saltshouse Road, Service 53 is no longer viable. As to what exactly fills the gap on Savoy Road and James Reckitt Avenue, this will be decided over the coming weeks in consultation with Hull City Council. This is only the first stage of the development.
At the same time notice was given on the contract that covers the evening extension of Service 28 via the Kingsbury Way loop. Again like the 53 the registration the change is a stepping stone in the process of the opening of the link road. There will be further changes in the coming weeks to finalise the long term pattern for Kingswood.
Service 677 is just a housekeeping exercise due to changes in shift patterns and usage of the service. The 0630 is withdrawn and the 1645 and 1745 journeys are merged into one journey at 1715.
The 110 change reflects the ongoing issues on the Bricknell Avenue Estate. Following further serious difficulties faced by buses unable to pass parked cars on tight bends, the decision has been made to withdraw the affected section of route until the Traffic Regulations orders are put into place. This could change in the coming weeks.
Thanks for the explanation of what is changing and why
Does this mean that service 28 will no longer be serving Kesteven Way on an evening?
