National Express Changes

East Riding of Yorkshire Council reports that Beverley will lose it's National Express service to Newcastle, Edinburgh and Glasgow next month.

Future bus service changes: National Express, Service 534 Hull to Glasgow - will no longer serve Beverley from 27th February 2012.

The reason for this change is that 534 is diverted to operate via Leeds instead of Beverley from 27th February. As a result it now takes 2 hrs 50 mins from Hull to York (and 3 hrs 10 mins on the return) and 5 hrs 25 mins from Hull to Newcastle, rather than 4 hrs with the current timetable. This compares with 5 hrs 5 mins on EYMS 51X in the Winter 1947 timetable !

This is one of many changes to National Express services from 27th February, all of which can be viewed on Traveline East Midlands/East Anglia/South East.
The other main one affecting East Yorkshire is that the Scarborough - Brecon journey on 322 is replaced by a new 327 between Scarborough and Bath Spa.
