It's odd that the next one ends in Grimsby isn't? Not very ''simplibus'' if there's a gap.
Don't know when it started, but Stagecoach seem to also provide an extra service (operating as an 8S) in the afternoon from Toll Bar School (depart 1520) to Grimsby Riverhead Exchange. See page 2 of the 8/8C/8S timetable http://www.stagecoachbus.com/pdfs/XGAO008S.pdf
