The 8C I believe will be a service for Franklin College, as the college website has been advertising a new bus route from Humberston starting in September.
It looks like:
1/2 stays the same
13/14 turns to 3/4
45 turns to 5
16 turns to 6
7/8/9 stays the same.
But what is this 10 with the 9's??? is it the 12 as that runs to Waltham once a day.
And the 3 is becoming the 53 it would seem
The 9/9V/10 registration is interesting as it doesn't mention the 9A. Could the 9A become the 10 so that suffixes are just used for evening/sunday/school/college variations? And what will the 9V be?
The other intresting one is the CF on the Humber Flyer registration
The fact it is a tender may prohibit this but the 25 would probably make more sense as the 52 given all the renumbering
Or I guess the 9V could indicate journeys serving Victoria Street (Tesco Extra)
Still confused on what the 10 is supposed to be. Thought it would be a renumbered 12, but then that doesn't serve North Sea Lane, and therefore wouldn't be with 9/9V as Waltham-North Sea Lane.
If the 10 is a replacement for the 12, and runs as Grimsby-Waltham (as current route 12/12w) then that would leave Bradley Park unserved?
The 9V is just the 9A as that would make sense, but there's still the 10. In the past the trolley bus route down Freeman Street was called 10, and later the bus from Corporation Road. But since the 12 isn't shown on here can this be the 12 as that runs to Waltham? They look to putting buses into numerical order from 1-10 for local services if the 10 is 12.
Yes, 52 would make sense. Then the 50 by Amvale runs to Saltfleet, the 51 to Tetney and Louth, the 52 to Ludford/Binbrook and 53 to Market Rasen. I wasn't sure what the HF2 was anyway but maybe it's the former Sunday bus from Cleethorpes Pleasure Island to Hull not via Grimsby, so Cleethorpes Flyer? Or maybe a Caistor Flyer to boost the infrequent service? The buses 17/20/25 and maybe 450/150 will probably be renumbered in future.
The HF2 is the Hull-Humberside Airport section of the Humber Flyer
The 450 at least still makes some sense in that it serves Barton who's main service is the 350. But of course not as much sense as when the 150/250/350/450 were all in operation through Barton. The 450 number will however make less sense than it does now. 45 becoming a 450 is quite neat but 5 becoming 450 far less so. It's a tender though so it maybe North Lincolnshire Council that makes the final decision
Will never happen but how about renumbering the 350 as the 65 to fit in with services along Anlaby Road in Hull (there is a 60, 61, 62, 64 and 66) and then renumber the 450 as the 55? 55 and 65 in Barton and number 55 would match with the renumbering of longer distance services in North East Lincolnshire
In response to the anonymous comment that mentions the 17/20/25 could be renumbered in future. Could the 20 even be renumbered, as I though (along with 1/2) it's a tendered NELC service?
Though the same could be said for the 25/150/450 which I believe are also tendered services.
As regards to the route 10, I assume it will be a case of await the release of timetables (either on Traveline or Stagecoach) in the coming weeks.
Renumbering the 350 should be easy since it would still have the special livery for the Humber Fastcat for people to recognise. If the 55 and 65 were to run in Barton then the 260 "Villager" bus to New Holland should be renumbered as 25 and the 150 to East Halton from Immingham to 45.
The 350 has a new livery orange and grey with no cat logo. The Humber Flyer now using the same model of bus albeit a year younger has the same design as the 350 but in blue and grey

The timetable for the 53 (currently interconnect 3) is on Traveline, seems to be unaffected, along with the 51 timetbale (services will now serve Grimsby Hospital). Seems good so far...
Hi, I just got a card where the bus station used to be in Grimsby and explains all the new numbers. And it does not mention a 9V at all! It says the 10 is the new 9A like you said at first. They are also asking the public about a stupid London Underground style map with spelling mistakes instead of the current street map. And they asking about a timetable which shows times from only a few places and explains how frequent they are at different times, it looks awkward for midday travel.
Also of note, is that this card explaining the service numbers only shows buses 1-10 and the 53. No 12 mentioned!!! Maybe the evil council have stopped funding it??

I wonder what college the CF is for. The Grimsby Institute currently has it's own free buses from Barton and probably most of the villages served by the CF. Up until now I don't think Franklin has targetted Barton students (and they would have a lot of competition if they tried)
The 12 is at least partially commercial isn't it?
I don't think Franklin do target Barton students, but in their application guide they do state that students can easily reach the college (from Barnetby and Barton) by using the regular rail services. Although CF doesn't even serve Franklin in the timetable.
If the HF is unchanged, then CF will end up being a service that supplements the vehicle running as the HF (except CF diverts into Aylesby). Although the existing services at the same time (0855 arrival at Grimsby and 1630 departure from Grimsby), always seem to be busy during college term.
So I assume CF = College Flyer?
Of note, when was the last time Aylesby had a regular bus service. I recall the 12 used to serve there (when it ran out to Laceby), and Amwale ran services (I believe until 2007) through the village to Keelby??
When Holloways ran multiple Grimsby services I'm sure one of them served Aylesby as well
More info is now shown on Traveline. The 9V appears to be the current 9A from Waltham to Cleethorpes one-way only while the 10 is the bus back, I find this very wierd to have a different number back home than what you got on and this will be confusing. Also there's another CF bus listed going from Cleethorpes to the airport but the timetable says it's the same as the CF1 also shown??? Also sometimes the 5 goes through to Pleasure Island in Cleethorpes rather than ending at the pier. But some continue to Humberston and some go via Chichester Road. This will make the map hard to understand. Also the last 6 to Wybers from Asda is 45mins earlier. That's all I can spot which is different.
Timetables are now on Traveline. Here's a summary of changes.
Routes 1/2/12/12B/12W/20 are unchanged.
Route 3/4/4A (formerly 13/14) remains largely unaffected in the daytime, although the evening frequency is every 30 minutes until end of service.
Route 5/5C (formerly 45/45C/45M/46) remain largely unaffected. The first three services of the day (Mon-Sat) start from Humberston Church Ave. Services still serve MIC Plant (these now operate as 'standard' 5) and Ulceby (two evening trips). Evening services will run as Route 5 (formerly 46) and will return to starting from North Sea Lane. Sunday services will see what is effectively the 46 now, although evening services will also start from NSL (like Mon-Sat).
Route 6 (formerly 16) is largely unaafected.
Route 7 sees minor retimings
Route 8 sees minor retimings and now serves Hospital
Route 9 remains largely unaffected
Route 9A also remains largely unaffected. Now the confusing bit, services FROM North Sea Lane to Waltham run as Route 10, whilst services in the other direction run as Route 9V.
The good points I can see is that Grimsby Hospital sees more buses (Routes 8/9/9V/10/51) with 8 buses an hour instead of 4. Also, Route 12 seems to be staying, maybe??
The bad point, is, why cause confusion with the 9V/10?
Stagecoach are having a open day from 10am-2pm on the site of where the bus station used to be, this will probably be for the new timetables. Also Traveline has removed all refferences to services CF1 and 9V. The stagecoach website says services 1, 3/4 & 12 will get more services and some 5's will turn into an 8.
