Stagecoach to Beverley and Hedon!

The VOSA website reveals that Stagecoach Hull are to operate a service between Hedon and Beverley - their only public (as opposed to schools) service to either Hedon or Beverley, and their only public service not to at least operate partially within the Hull City boundary.

VOSA - Bus Registration Search Results: "PB0001987/290 - CLEVELAND TRANSIT LTD T/A STAGECOACH NORTHEAST, ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT, NORTH BRIDGE STREET, SUNDERLAND, SR5 1AQ
Registration Accepted by SN
Starting Point: Hedon
Finish Point: Beverley
Via:
Service Number: 242

The 242 is currently an East Yorkshire Council tendered service operated once each way between Hedon and Beverley Monday to Saturday daytimes.

Cannot believe that they are going to operate two journies each way a day. the service would be better if it only ran three times a week. The only people using the service are pensioners and they only tend to go one way and catch the bus from Beverley to Hull.

If this service operates via the Shannon Road/Holderness Road roundabout between Ganstead and Bilton (and passes Asda) then it does operate within the city boundary. If it operates via Holmes Lane, then the timing points at Ganstead and Bilton are wrong.

Sorry - the lack of a timing point on the current service within Hull made me think it did not operate into the Hull City boundary
